US Lifting Of Arms Embargo Direct Dividend Of President Buhari’s Integrity, Says CNPP | Politics

The Conference of Nigerian Political Parties, CNPP, has described the lifting of arms embargo imposed on PMB

Nigeria by the United States of America, USA, as the first diplomatic breakthrough of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

The National Publicity Secretary of CNPP, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, who made the remarks while reacting to the development, also described the move as a “harvest and dividend of Buhari’s uncommon integrity”.
You may recall that the U.S. under the Leahy Act, refused to sell arms and military hardware to Nigeria to use in its war against Boko Haram insurgency following reports of alleged human rights abuses by the Nigerian military.

I gulped nervously, rubbed my sweaty hands on my jeans, sighed and stared at my watch with an intention to make the time stop. Stop! Somebody stop the time, my kid must be getting upset sitting alone at school waiting for me. It had been 10 minutes past the time I usually pick him up, and I was still standing in the queue to deposit my uncle’s check. Finally when I was about to leave to pick my son up, my uncle called me to run an errand for him. Which according to him was too important, to be put on hold for half an hour. I kept on stammering but I just could not bring myself to tell him that my son was more important to me than his stupid errand!

I have not been too honest with myself in the past. I never fully accepted or understood, actually, the consequences that my words and actions could cause.
I was young, I had an idealistic view of life, love and my partner. I had read too many love stories and had watched a lot of movies.

Love is a rampage of insecurities and an intense workout of emotions. Though the reward is very sweet, it’s a constant struggle during which a person has to go against their nature, while harboring the fruit of warmth, affection and trust.
