Losing But Not Done, Bernie Sanders’ Fans Are Getting Angrier

Bernie Sanders clinched a convincing victory over Hillary Clinton in Tuesday’s Oregon primary and landed a very close second in Kentucky. But, despite Sanders’ strong showing, he trails Clinton by a nearly insurmountable delegate margin. As the Vermont senator’s path to the nomination disappears, his most fervent supporters are moving from enthusiasm to anger.

Will This Be the Next Hot Luxury Home Market in Europe?

Beach houses in Croatia cost a fraction of what similar ones go for in Italy and Spain

Luxury real estate in Croatia doesn’t have the caché of its more famous Mediterranean neighbors.  But this Balkan nation of 2.4 million boasts more than 1,200 miles of beautiful coastline on the Adriatic Sea and impressive beachfront villas, often selling for far less than ones sold in Greece, Spain and Italy.
“It’s much cheaper and the coast is more beautiful than Italy or Spain,” says Michael Grimm, a real estate agent based in Croatia and a former partner at Engel and Volkers.  “You can get a house on the beach or a sea view for $2,000 per square meter. In Italy it’s more like $10,000.”
Croatia has more than 1,000 islands, second in Europe only to Greece, and stunning natural beauty that should make it a more popular luxury second-home destination.
While residential property prices in Croatia have remained flat overall since the global recession, home prices in many of the most expensive and desirable coastal towns along the Adriatic Sea have been increasing.

Blue and white light made people feel much worse—but green light might make things better

Sufferers say the pain of a migraine is like an explosion, like being bludgeoned in the head by bricks. And light and sound can make migraines worse, which often means that sufferers have to isolate themselves in dark, quiet spaces. Now researchers have discovered that green light might make migraine sufferers less sensitive to white light, and could even reduce their pain by 20 percent, according to a study published yesterday in the journal Brain.

Japan seeks leverage in joint development with own stealth jet

The X-2 takes off from Nagoya Airport on its maiden flight.
TOKYO -- Japan's first homegrown stealth fighter embodies the country's desire to raise its status in international collaboration on defense technology development.
An X-2 demonstrator built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries took its roughly 25-minute maiden flight Friday morning from Aichi Prefecture to Gifu Prefecture, going through basic maneuvers that included ascending and descending. The jet clocked in at about 400kph. Japan became the fourth country to fly a manned stealth aircraft, after the U.S., Russia and China.

Philippines recorded fastest growth in Asia in Q1

DAVAO, Philippines -- The Philippines has outpaced China to become Asia's fastest growing economy, as election spending helped push gross domestic product in the first quarter to a better-than-expected 6.9% expansion.

Here’s The Gun The U.S. Government Uses To Blast Drones

You may have heard of Johnny Dronehunter and his legion of privacy-defending patriots who use shotguns to clear the skies of meddling drones, but when the United States federal government casts off drones, they would rather use non-lethal jammer guns.

Study: Everyone Lies But No One Calls Themself A Liar

Pretty much everyone lies and cheats sometimes—but pretty much identifies themselves as a liar or a cheater. We consider our indiscretions the exception, not the rule, and desist from calling ourselves crooks even if that’s exactly what we are.
Now, a new study in PNAS attempts to explain this nearly universal delusion with what researchers are calling “unethical amnesia”—the theory that we remember our good deeds better than our ethical lapses, allowing us to continue acting unethically without much remorse.
