PSG hammer Troyes 9-0 to win Ligue 1 title

Paris Saint-Germain have clinched the Ligue 1 title with eight games to spare, after thrashing Troyes 9-0 on Sunday.

This is coming four days after the club eliminated Chelsea to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League as it wrapped up the club’s sixth French title and their fourth consecutive Ligue 1 crown.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic helped himself to four goals, Edinson Cavani scored twice, while Javier Pastore and Adrien Rabiot also got on the scoresheet.

Laurent Blanc’s team have now broken the record for the quickest league triumph. Lyon won it in 2007 under Gerard Houllier with five games to go.
